Lingui, a film directed by Mahamat-Saleh Haroun, tells the story of Amina (Achouackh Abakar), a 30-year-old Muslim practitioner who lives with her 15-year-old daughter Maria (Rihane Khalil Alio) on the outskirts of N'djaména, in Chad. The reality she lives in is already very difficult, but her life takes a hard hit when she discovers that Maria has become pregnant and is determined not to keep the baby.
