Watch Gretel & Hansel (2020) online

Gretel and Hansel, directed by Oz Perkins, is a horror film inspired by the famous tale of the Brothers Grimm and set in medieval Germany devastated by misery and famine. One day young Gretel (Sophia Lillis) and her little brother Hansel (Sam Leaky) are kicked out of the house by her mother, who can no longer provide for them due to rampant poverty. The girl decides to go into the dark woods with her brother in a desperate search for food, shelter and work, but she doesn't know that the forest is full of dangers and deadly dangers. Fortunately, a hunter (Charles Babalola) comes to their aid, who will help them overcome the first obstacles that the thick bush will present to the two brothers. But while searching for food in the woods, they stumble upon a house that smells of freshly baked pastries. Here lives an elderly woman, Holda (Alice Krige), who offers a place to sleep at the two meals in exchange for help with the housework.
Hoping to have finally found refuge thanks to the kindness of the kind old woman, Hansel and Gretel decide to stay together with the generous woman. While the child is free to leave the house and enjoys his time where he can eat without limits, Gretel begins to be suspicious of Holda's behavior. The girl also begins to have some visions and to hear children's voices warning her, but she always wakes up before she can understand what is happening. Her suspicions and her fears, however, will prove to be well founded, when she discovers that behind the kind old woman there is, in truth, the seed of evil.
