Tom and Jerry, a film directed by Tim Story, is a film adaptation of the animated series of the same name, by Hanna-Barbera. The story tells the first encounter between the cat and the mouse and how their bitter rivalry was born.
Jerry is a lovable little mouse who lives in a large house in the New England countryside where he makes strong friends with the owners, an elderly couple who have lived there for years. After the departure of the two owners, the house is put up for sale and purchased by a new family. A little resentful, Jerry decides to scare the new guests to keep the house all to himself, in memory of the two little men.
