Flee, directed by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, tells the story of Amin, a 36-year-old man who fled his homeland, Kabul, at a very young age to find refuge in Copenhagen. Today Amin is an established academic and is about to marry his love of life, but the man secretly hides his refugee past. Nobody knows who he really is, not even his fiancé, and he has managed to build the ideal castle of his existence for good, although it is made only of cards and that the slightest revelation about his past can make him fall just like a gust of wind.
For the first time in years, however, Amin decides to reveal himself and tell the story of his youthful odyssey to his best friend. After twenty years, he seems to have finally understood that in order to fully conquer that future he so desires he needs before confronting his painful past.
