Cherry, directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, tells the story of an army doctor (Tom Holland), who returned from Iraq after serving for a year and taking part in over 250 war missions. The man, named Cherry, on his return fails to overcome what he lived in the war, much less to resume his civil life normally.
Cherry suffers from severe PTSD, which he can only sedate when he uses drugs. The addiction to drugs and that moment of addiction, which makes him forget the horrors of war, lead him to consume all his money.
