Morbius, a film directed by Daniel Espinosa, tells the story of Dr. Michael Morbius, an anti-hero based on the Marvel Comics comics and created by Roy Thomas' pen initially as a Spider-Man antagonist. Played by Jared Leto, Morbius is a biochemist suffering from a very rare hematological disease. When he tries to invent a cure for his disorder, something in his experiment goes wrong and the doctor becomes infected with a form of vampirism, taking on the appearance and supernatural abilities of these dark creatures.
Next to Leto in the cast of the cinecomic also Adria Arjona as Martine Bancroft, girlfriend of the protagonist, and Matt Smith, who plays the role of Loxias Crown, a friend of Morbius who suffers from his own disease.
