The Rite of the Witches, a film directed by Zoe Lister-Jones, tells the story of Lily (Cailee Spaeny), a very lonely teenager with no friends, who is forced to change in high school during the year. In the new institution, the girl is targeted by the school bully, who ridicules her in front of everyone.
One day while she is crying in the bathroom, due to another stupid prank she suffered, Lily is approached and consoled by three other students, Tabby (Lovie Simone), Frankie (Gideon Adlon) and Lourdes (Zoey Luna), also they were previously victims of bullies. The girls invite her to spend more and more time together after school, having her participate in a kind of initiation rite to get her into their group.
The four young students form, in fact, a coven of witches, who thanks to their skills, are able to get everything they want. But when they overcome the first limits, they will have to deal with their great power, which if used excessively can be fatal ...
