From 5 Bloods - As Brothers, the Spike Lee-directed film tells the story of four African American soldiers, Paul (Delroy Lindo), Otis (Clarke Peters), Eddie (Norm Lewis) and Melvin (Isiah Whitlock Jr.), who survived the Vietnam war and that after several years decide to return to Asian territory. The purpose of the mission is to search for the body of their leader (Chadwick Boseman) who died during the conflict and find out where the treasure hidden in the past is.
The four men, also helped by Paul's son (Jonathan Majors), will find a country severely tested by the extermination and ferocity of the war. They will deal with the distrust and hatred of the local population and once again will face a hostile nature and the indelible memories of a battle they never wanted to live.
