Characterized by remarkable tenacity and ambition, the team scrupulously prepared to participate in the Berlin Olympics that same year, where Adolf Hitler was also expected to be present in the audience. Given as losers, the US rowing team manages to oust the favored German team and triumph by winning the gold medal.
