Back to Win, directed by Gavin O'Connor, is the story of Jack Cunningham (Ben Affleck), a former point guard with a promising future in the world of basketball. Despite excelling in sports in high school and winning a scholarship to university, the boy decides not to pursue his career in basketball and give up a glorious future. Several years have passed, Jack is now an adult, his life is in decline and his only consolation is alcohol, in which he drowns the sorrows due to a failed marriage and the vain hope of a better future. One day, however, he is offered a chance: to coach his high school basketball team, the same one in which he played as a young man. The team is no longer what it used to be, it is made up only of disillusioned boys who do not play as a team. Reluctantly, Jack agrees to be their coach. The man rediscovers his old passion and, in the face of those young without hope, he realizes that he can do something for them: help them believe in themselves. Suddenly the boys, thanks to the teachings of his new coach, begin to behave like a real team and win a few matches, while Jack finds in them a reason to fight against their own demons. But will this sense of revenge save him from a life now in ruins?
