Gold, directed by Anthony Hayes, tells the story of two men, two vagabonds (Anthony Hayes and Zac Efron), who travel in the vast desert. On their way, the two come across a huge gold nugget, the largest ever found. The two men immediately think about how much they could earn with that piece of gold and what luxurious life they could lead.
While one of the two sets off to look for the equipment necessary to extract the nugget, the other stays to check it and wait for him. The latter will have to face the harsh desert climate, trying to defend himself not only from wolves, but also from other intruders. As he struggles to stay alive in the endless expanse of sand, he begins to think he is left alone and abandoned to a raw fate ...
