Dancing Queens, a Netflix original film directed by Helena Bergström, stars Dylan Pettersson (Molly Nutley): a 23-year-old girl with a great passion and talent for dance; whose dream of becoming a dancer is, however, put aside with the death of her mother, with whom she shared this passion. One day, Dylan's grandmother discovers that in town they are auditioning to find dancers and urges her granddaughter to take the reins of her life back by participating in the casting. Reaching the city, Dylan finds out against his will that the news of the auditions arrived a month late in her small island off the coast of Sweden and that therefore the auditions are long over. But her luck seems to knock on her door when she gets a job at a drag queen club, where she is accidentally noticed by the show's choreographer, Victor (Fredrik Quinones), who discovers her talent. Unfortunately though, she Dylan is a girl and for this reason she cannot be part of the show. But when there is willpower, she also always finds a way. So, armed with baggy men's clothes and a bit of makeup, Dylan decides to try it all out ...
