The Lovebirds, directed by Michael Showalter, is the story of a couple, Jibran (Kumail Nanjiani) and Leilani (Issa Rae), on the brink of breaking up. When they become unintentionally embroiled in a mysterious - and at the same time bizarre - murder case, the two work together to try to keep their criminal records clean. As they attempt to solve the case, the couple try to figure out how their relationship, now in decline, can survive the night and the murder charge.
