I'm Thinking of Ending Things, directed by Charlie Kaufman, tells the story of a young woman (Jessie Buckley), who sets out on a journey with her new boyfriend Jake (Jesse Plemons) to meet the boy's family. Despite the big step, the two have not been together for long and the girl is uncertain about their relationship.
When they arrive at the isolated family farm, a storm forces the two sweethearts stranded in the house along with his parents (Toni Collette and David Thewlis), who do not turn out to be what she expected; this situation, in fact, will allow the young woman to discover that things are not as she imagined, revealing increasingly bizarre views. By spending time with Jake's family day after day, she will come to question not only her boyfriend and their bond, but even herself and the world around her.
