Like DisIncanto, the Adam Shankman-directed film is the half-animated, half-live-action sequel to Come d'incanto (2007). The film, set 15 years after the events narrated above, once again sees Princess Giselle at the center of the story with her prince charming, divorce lawyer Robert Philip. Giselle, along with Robert and their teenage daughter Morgan, move from Manhattan to the small suburb of Monroeville.
The now grown and matured princess will try to move with dexterity between the reality of the new home and her new family. She will find herself grappling with crucial questions about the happiness she has won and unintentionally unleashes a series of events that will upset everyone's life, both in the real world and in the animated kingdom of Andalasia.
Amy Adams and Patrick Dempsey will return as Giselle and Robert respectively. We will also meet James Marsden and Idina Menzel in the roles of Prince Edward and Nancy. The cast is joined by Gabriella Baldacchino in the role of Morgan, Robert's daughter.
