Coming 2 America, the film directed by Craig Brewer, is the sequel to John Landis' cult movie, The Prince Seeks a Wife, released in 1988.
In the film Eddie Murphy reprises the role of Akeem, newly elected King of the lush kingdom of Zamunda. After his son fled to New York, Akeem is forced to leave the African continent and return to Queens, the neighborhood of the Big Apple where it all began, to track down and bring home the young crown prince.
In this new adventure Akeem will once again be joined by his trusted adviser Semmi (Arsenio Hall).
