Marry Me, the film directed by Kat Coiro, follows the story of Kat Valdez (Jennifer Lopez), a famous singer who is about to marry her rock star boyfriend Bastian (Maluma), at Madison Square Garden, where a crowd of fans are looking forward to the celebration. Shortly before the ceremony Kat discovers that her future husband has betrayed her and out of spite of her decides to get married anyway, choosing, however, a random man from the audience. The choice falls on Charlie Gilbert (Owen Wilson), a divorced and shy math teacher in high school, who is only there because he accompanied his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman) and her friend to the event.
Kat and Charlie are two very different people and from complete strangers they suddenly find themselves husband and wife. The two will try to open up to each other and over time what was an instinctive gesture of Kat will turn into a real and unexpected feeling. But will the two be able to overcome the diversity of their worlds and the fans who want Kat to be back with her ex again?
