Gaia, a film directed by Jaco Bouwer, tells the story of a forest ranger who accidentally gets injured while he is carrying out an inspection for a surveillance mission in the woods. Fortunately, he runs into two survivalists, father and son (Carel Nel and Alex van Dyk), who follow a lifestyle that is always ready for an apocalyptic emergency. The two live in a wild way and have a deep connection with nature, so much so that it seems that they worship her as the deity of a mysterious religion.
One night the guard finds himself in the shelter, when he is attacked by some undefined creatures with human features, closely linked to the wild nature of the forest, where a great threat to all humanity and older than man himself hides. ..
