American Traitor, directed by Michael Polish, tells the story of Mildred Gillars (Meadow Williams), the first woman to be accused of treason to the United States during World War II. After becoming the speaker of the Reichs-Rundfunk-Gesellschaft, the German state radio, in 1940, Mildred became a proponent of Nazi propaganda, which earned her the nickname "Axis Sally" because of her sharp words. The programs, in fact, were broadcast to American troops in Europe and aimed to destabilize them psychologically, relying on their fears and fears. Mildred's story reveals the dark side of the Nazi propaganda machine, which led Gillars to become the most hated woman by Americans.
