Cruella, the film directed by Craig Gillespie, stars Emma Stone as a young Cruella De Mon. The original story, in live action, tells the birth and transformation of the iconic and evil character of 101 Dalmatians.
Estella De Vil (native name of Cruella) is a dark red-haired young scammer, a bright and ambitious girl, determined to break into the world of fashion as a fashion designer, in a London influenced by the punk-rock revolution of the early 70s . The girl ventures through the streets of the city in the company of two amateur thieves who adore the evil side of her.
Very soon Estella is noticed by Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson), director of a prestigious fashion house, an extraordinarily elegant and refined woman. The meeting between the two, however, will give rise to a series of events in which the dark, evil and vengeful side of Estella will take over her, transforming her into the Cruella we all know.
