The Dark and the Wicked, the film directed by Bryan Bertino, set on an isolated farm in a country town, follows the story of a seriously ill and dying man (Michael Zagst) and his wife (Julie Oliver- Touchstone) overwhelmed by an immense sadness and now overwhelmed by a deep and slow pain. To support the mother in saying goodbye to her father, adult siblings Louise (Marin Ireland) and Michael (Michael Abbott Jr.) return to the family farm. Louise and Michael quickly realize there is something wrong with the mother, something beyond the pain.
