Animal Control is an American television series created by comedy veterans Bob Fisher (Married with Children), Rob Greenberg (Frasier, How I Met Your Mother) and Dan Sterling (King of the Hill). The story revolves around a group of Seattle Animal Protection employees whose lives are complicated by the fact that animals are simple beings and humans are not. Community star Joel McHale plays Frank, an opinionated and eccentric agent who, despite not going to college, is often the smartest person in the room. A former cop, Frank tried to expose corruption in his department, but it got him fired, which may explain why he's so cynical and gruff. He has an almost superhuman ability to understand animals, while with humans it's a different story altogether.
Frank is joined by his new partner Fred 'Shred' Taylor (newcomer Michael Rowland), a driver new to Animal Protection. Both report to their sweet and lovingly awkward boss Emily Price (Vella Lovell, Mr. Mayor). Among their colleagues there are also Amit Patel (Ravi Patel, Master of None) and Victoria Sands (Grace Palmer, Stay with me), opposite each other. Rounding out the team are Dr. Summers (Alvina August, The Boys), the department veterinarian; receptionist Dolores Stubb (Kelli Ogmundson, Family Lawyers); and Templeton Dudge (Gerry Dee, The Moodys), an agent for a nearby department convinced he's underestimated.
