Holidate, a Netflix original film directed by John Whitesell, is a romantic comedy that stars singles Sloane (Emma Roberts) and Jackson (Luke Bracey). Both are constantly pressed by their respective families because, at every meeting for the holidays, they never show up accompanied by a "sweetheart". As if that weren't enough, Sloane's mother, Elaine (Frances Fisher), takes advantage of every party to arrange a blind date for her daughter, which punctually ends in a rejection by the girl. The latter's aunt, the seductive and party-loving Susan (Kristin Chenoweth), however, seems to have found a solution to the problem: at every family event she comes in the company of a "party-friend", or a version of the "friend with benefit ”dedicated exclusively to parties. Sloane, though hesitant, decides to follow her aunt's example when she accidentally meets Jackson at the mall. After meeting and discussing their respective situations, in fact, the two decide to become "party-friends", but establishing two strict rules for this to work: no physical contacts and, above all, do not get infatuated with each other. But will it really be like this?
